Meaty Morsels Headed Your Way

I told myself I was all conferenced out this year…that I would wait until 2012 to hit any more big HR shindigs. And then SHRM decided to bring their Annual Strategy conference to Chicago; and with it came the kind offer to attend it as a member of the press. And that’s an opportunity that’s just too tempting to pass up – despite all I have going on right now in my day job, I’m game for finding a way to do both…

So this afternoon I’ll head over to the Fairmont Hotel on the east side of the loop for a little Human Resources Strategy goodness. I plan on spending time at each of the keynote speakers over the next couple of days, will probably hit a concurrent session or two, and hope to conduct a few interviews. We’ll see how much of that I actually get to, but I wanted you to know that I plan on shouting out and sharing some of the meaty morsels of wisdom that I gather along the way. Those morsels might just come from:

Bill Conaty, Former Sr. Vice President of Human Resources, GE

Bridget van Kralingen, General Manager, IBM North America

Jeffrey Garten, Former Undersecretary of Commerce for International Trade

Don Tapscott, Thought Leader on the Strategic Value and Impact of Information Technology

If you’re going to be there, look me up. If not, check back over the next couple of days so you can get a taste for the latest in HR strategic thinking…
